A private social journal
Your profile, stats, visits, and review content are visible only under Crave's friendship and shared-visit rules. Reviews attached to a shared visit are visible to every participant and every current friend of any participant.
Global ratings
Every submitted score contributes anonymously to a place's global Crave rating. Unrelated users cannot see your identity, individual score, notes, ordered items, or photos.
Place review lists
A place page shows your full reviews and full reviews from current friends only. Shared-visit access may additionally show every attached participant review inside that visit.
Location and Google
Browser location is used only to bias Google Places search. Crave stores the selected Google Place ID and uses Google account identity for sign-in.
Participant photos
Photos you add to a review are stored privately and follow the same current friendship and shared-visit visibility rules as the review.
Product analytics and feedback
Crave uses PostHog EU to understand product usage and diagnose errors. Session replays mask all text, form inputs, images, and video. We associate sessions with your internal user ID, not your email. Feedback you intentionally submit through the feedback button is included with the session. The feedback, internal user ID, recent session events, error context, and replay link may be sent to Cursor to investigate the report and propose a code change. Cursor receives project-scoped, read-only PostHog access for deeper investigation; the recording remains in PostHog and requires authorized access.
Future account deletion
When account deletion is enabled, it will remove your profile and content. Reviews written by other participants will remain in their personal histories when a shared visit is removed.
